Dr. Wolfgang R. Hartmann
Contact details: see Legal notice

2. General information

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and does not embed content from third parties (such as videos, maps or social media widgets). All fonts and stylesheets are hosted locally on our own server.

3. Hosting

This website and our e-mail service are hosted by:

united-domains GmbH
Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany

The technical operation of the web space is carried out by the subcontractor:

IONOS SE
Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany

All data is stored exclusively on servers located in Germany.

When you visit our website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically. These include:

  • IP address of the requesting device (anonymised)
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested page
  • Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
  • Browser, operating system and device type

Purpose and legal basis: This data is processed to ensure the technical operation, stability and security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free provision of our website.

  • Storage period: The log files are stored for 8 weeks and then automatically deleted.
  • Data processing agreement: We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar and the lock symbol.

5. Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we will store and process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, content of your request) for the purpose of handling your enquiry.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in all other cases (our legitimate interest lies in responding to enquiries addressed to us).
  • Deletion: We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of your enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
  • E-mails are processed via the e-mail service of our hosting provider, united-domains (see section 3).

6. Links to LinkedIn

Our website contains simple hyperlinks to LinkedIn (e.g. "Join on LinkedIn", personal profiles, articles). These are not embedded plug-ins: no data is transmitted to LinkedIn when you visit our website. Data is only transmitted when you actively click on such a link and are redirected to LinkedIn. From that point onward, LinkedIn's privacy policy applies: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

7. Our LinkedIn company page

We operate a company page on LinkedIn. The provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

When you visit our LinkedIn page, LinkedIn processes your personal data and provides us with anonymised statistics ("Page Insights"). For this processing, we and LinkedIn are joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR. Details can be found in the LinkedIn Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum: legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in effective communication with our community.
  • You can assert your data rights against both LinkedIn and us.
